Allergy time
It's that time again: allergy season is coming up.
A look at the management report for Switzerland (link) zeigt in der Saison 2025 wieder eine relativ hohe Rate an Pollenexposition an.
We are at your disposal for further advice on the diagnosis and therapy of any type of allergy.
TBE vaccination
Like almost all of Switzerland, the Basel and Basel-Landschaft region is part of the TBE risk area (see Map). Around 0.5 - 5% of ticks in natural herds carry the TBE virus. In the majority of people bitten by a TBE-infected tick, the infection goes unnoticed; only a minority become ill. After a few days, 5 - 15% of the affected people may develop inflammation of the meninges (meningitis), which can also spread to the brain (meningoencephalitis).
A TBE vaccination protects against infections and severe courses.
